Kathy Cavasino is a valued member of the RE/MAX On The Bay team in Niantic, Connecticut, bringing a strong foundation of community connection, work ethic, and real-world real estate experience to every client relationship.
Before transitioning into real estate, Kathy spent 35 years in the Waterford Public School system, teaching middle and high school physical education. Throughout her teaching career, she built lasting relationships with students and families across the community — relationships she now continues to serve as a trusted real estate professional.
Kathy’s move into real estate was a natural transition. Growing up in Wethersfield, where her father worked as a builder and developer for more than 40 years, she gained early exposure to construction, property development, and the importance of asking the right questions when buying or selling a home. In addition to her professional work, Kathy has personal experience purchasing investment properties, completing renovation projects, and managing rental properties.
Since beginning her real estate career in 2016, Kathy has worked with a wide range of clients, including first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, investors, and those navigating remodeling or renovation opportunities. She brings practical insight and a hands-on understanding of homes, improvements, and property potential — and isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves when needed.
A resident of Southeastern Connecticut for more than 40 years, Kathy offers deep local knowledge of Niantic, Waterford, and surrounding shoreline communities. She understands the neighborhoods, schools, and lifestyle that make this region such a special place to call home.
Outside of real estate, Kathy enjoys gardening, biking, spending time at Pleasure Beach, and relaxing with her dog, Kona. She is married and has two adult children, and remains deeply connected to the community she proudly serves.
